Our story begins in the 1950s in Licey al Medio, a small town in the heart of the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic. At just 10 years old, Don Antonio spent his days working alongside his father, Don Adriano, on the family farm. Together, they grew a variety of crops, but it was tobacco that captured his heart.

As the years passed, Don Adriano patiently taught his son every step of the process—from planting and caring for the tobacco plants to harvesting the leaves and beginning the curing process. Those long days in the fields were about more than learning how to grow tobacco. They were about passing down values of hard work, patience, and respect for a tradition that had been part of our family's life for generations.

Years later, Don Antonio returned to the Dominican Republic to start his own tobacco plantation, carrying those lessons with him and continuing the legacy his father had begun.

Growing up, I had the privilege of seeing that passion firsthand. Although I was born in the Dominican Republic, I spent much of my life traveling between the Dominican Republic and the United States. Every visit back home strengthened my connection to my family's roots and sparked my own interest in the art of premium cigars.

What started as curiosity soon became a passion. I began learning about hand-rolled cigars by trying different blends, sharing cigars with friends and family, reading cigar magazines, visiting cigar shops and lounges, and exploring the craftsmanship behind some of the world's finest cigars. With every experience, my appreciation for the tradition, artistry, and culture of cigar making continued to grow.

In 2023, I decided to turn that passion into something meaningful by creating Don Antonio – Un Cigar con Experiencia. This brand is more than a business—it's a tribute to my father, my grandfather, and the generations before them who dedicated themselves to the craft of growing tobacco.

Every cigar we make is a reflection of our family's story, our Dominican heritage, and our commitment to sharing an authentic cigar experience with those who appreciate quality, tradition, and craftsmanship.
